Search Files by File Date

VX Search provides a set of file matching rules allowing one to search files by the creation, modification and last access dates. The set of date-based file matching rules provides the ability to search files created, last modified or last accessed on a specific date, older or newer than a specific date. In addition, the user is provided with the ability to search files created, last modified or last accessed between user-specified dates.

Search Files by Creation, Last Modification or Last Access Dates

For example, in order to search files which were created before 1-Jan-2016, set the file search rule type to 'Creation Date', set the operator to 'Older Than' and set the date to 1-Jan-2016. In a similar way, the user can search files that were created before the specified date or exactly on the user-specified date.

Search Files by Dates Older Than

Finally, the user is provided with the ability to search files created, last modified or last accessed within a user-specified range of dates. For example, in order to search files that were created between two dates, set the rule operator to 'Creation Date', set the operator to 'In Range', enter the start date and enter the end date.
