VX Search provides the ability to show files user names in the file search results view. In order to enable processing and display of files user names, open the file search profile dialog, press the 'Options' button, select the 'General' tab and select the 'Process and Show Files User Names' option.

With this option enabled, the VX Search GUI application will show the user name for each file search result in the search results view. In addition, PDF and XML reports will include user names for all file search results.

The option to process and display files user names significantly reduces the performance of file search operations and it should be enabled only when required. The potential performance impact may be especially significant when searching files in network shares or NAS storage devices over a high-latency network and in such situations it is recommended to configure the file search operation to use multiple parallel file search threads.
